Afternoon with Dan Petroski of Massican and Larkmead & Flwr Napa Valley's Jessica Mennella

What is scent, how do we smell, and why does it matter in wine? How can you deepen your scent memory, and further increase your experience of wines?

Join perfumer, Jess Mennella (FLWR Napa Valley) and winemaker, Dan Petroski (Massican Winery, Larkmead Vineyards) on a sensory tour of wine exploring smell, taste, and process via the major scent characteristics of both red and white wines. Guests will have an opportunity to smell singular aromatics such as citrus fruits, red fruits, herbaceous notes, tobacco and chocolate, in order to further develop scent memory and aromatic perspective. We will then apply this olfactory information to a tasting of both recent release and older vintage (5+ years aged) of Massican and Larkmead wines, alongside examples of the major scent characteristics found in these wines.

Lot includes a scent and sensory tasting experience for up to ten (10) people at K. LAZ at Copia tasting room in Napa

Restrictions: To be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon time. Experience will last 2-3 hours
