This handmade cherry and maple plant stand is made of an oil-finished cherry base and polyurethane-finished curly maple shelves and stands at 25" tall.

Furniture maker and longtime friend of the Discovery Museum, Alan Bourgault, builds fine handcrafted furniture and cutting boards that are elegant, functional, and meticulously crafted using quality materials and traditional joinery techniques. His furniture is inspired by Shaker design and is made primarily with cherry, maple, and birch, woods that are native to the northeastern United States. Alan thoughtfully selects the wood for each project, taking into consideration the color and grain of each piece in order to craft furniture, cutting boards and kitchenware that are both practical and beautiful. He uses different woods and grain patterns to create eye-catching contrasts in color and texture that will stand out in your home, office, or kitchen.

Alan's work can be found at these other locations:
Etsy; Amazon Handmade; Duck Soup, Sudbury; Clever Hand Gallery, Wellesley; The Five Crows Gallery, Natick Center; Sign of the Dove Gallery, Cambridge; Cambridge Artists Cooperative, Cambridge
