About the artist, Sarah Loch-Test: Having grown up in Columbus, Ohio and spent time in Pittsburgh, PA, Sarah Loch-Test's work focuses on our relationship with nature in an urban environment. One city has seen commercial centers torn down to make way for parks and green spaces. The other has been transformed from one of the most heavily polluted industrial sites to a leader in green architecture in the United States. Architectural elements provide a visual structure to build off of, to which flowers and leaves with a burned out appearance are added. Sarah works with copper, brass and enamels, sometimes using found materials and recycled metals.
