Description of Piece: One of a pair of rings made in silver, set with precious gemstones and a pair of matched 1920s French Bakelite hunting buttons depicting forest animals. Notes About Piece: Clean with a soft "Selvyt" cloth or similar but not any commercial "jewellery cleaners" which could affect the Bakelite.
About the artist, Dauvit Alexander Dauvit Alexander - The Justified Sinner - works with found objects, using his skills as a fine jeweller to transform them into wearable pieces. He is based in Birmingham in the UK, the heart of the British jewellery industry. In addition to his own practice, he teaches at the famous School of Jewellery in Birmingham and regularly delivers classes around the world, including at the Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh.
