About the artist, Yemisi Ajayi: Yemisi Ajayi is Nigerian textile artist, she has won a reputation as an innovative textile artist working within the realm of traditional Yoruba cloth, motifs and dyeing. She is also a teacher of batik, adire, natural dye method and Yoruba patchwork quilting since 1994. She exhibited works in Nigeria and several international shows. She first trained at Oshogbo Art School and then received her Diploma in Creative Arts at the Center for Cultural Studies, University of Lagos Nigeria.
