About the artist, Ceil Sturdevant: "Ceil Sturdevant has exhibited her work in the U.S. and internationally. She has taught ceramics since 1981 at Ellis School in Pgh. Ceil was awarded two Heinz Arts Grant for exhibits during the Pgh. conference - NCECA in 2008 and 2018. Ceil has had residencies in Italy, Greece, France, Japan, Mexico, Canada and in U.S.A. Ceil's pieces have been featured in "Studio Potter", "Ceramic Monthly", "American Craft" and "Clay Times." She has been published in The Extruder and 500 Figures Lark Books."
