About the artist, Thaddeus Mosley: "Thaddeus was born in 1926 in New Castle, PA. He graduated from Pitt with majors in English and Journalism. In the '50s while working at the Postal Service, he began writing for The Courier and other national publications. He also began making sculptures. In 1968, he had his first solo show at the CMOA. Mosley was named Artist of the Year and awarded the Governor's Award, and the Service in the Arts Award by the PCA. His work was included in the 2018 Carnegie International."
