About the artist, Adam Kenney: With 20 years of glassmaking experience, Adam Kenney's creative education began at Centre College under renowned glass artist, Stephen Powell. He then worked in a number of production studios where the continuous studio access gave him a keen understanding of the material's properties. Adam enhanced his artistic skill set at the Appalachian Center for Craft. By working closely with sculptor and glassblower Curtiss Brock, he developed a sensibility for multiple materials and a decidedly minimal aesthetic. He is currently the Director of the Craft Business Accelerator and Monmade programs at Bridgeway Capital, and maintains a line of blown, etched, and engraved glass vessels for select exhibitions and galleries.
