bout the artist, Rolland & Luke Lietzke: Husband and wife team of Luke and Rolland Lietzke lived and worked in Mogadore, OH and produced ceramic ware during the middle decades of the 20th century. Producing a variety of tableware with clean lines they developed a slip molding technique and crafted molds yielding porcelains glazed with hues ranging from bright glossy yellows and greens to dusty charcoal blacks and blues. Stylistically and technically the Lietzke porcelains bridge the gap between production pottery and art pottery.
