The glittery, velvet-rope glamour days of Steve Rubell, Andy Warhol and Bianca Jagger are ready to rise again on Saturday, March 9th, as the Tower Foundation of Manhasset presents Studio 54! Proceeds from this annually sold-out fundraiser-to be held at Plandome Country Club at 7:30 p.m.-will once again benefit the Tower Foundation's mission of providing grants to the Manhasset public schools that will enhance the educational experience of our students. This year's initiative will be to sponsor additional "Future Ready" classrooms, which feature innovative enhancements, such as flexible furniture and improved technology to allow for a deeper level of academic engagement for Manhasset's scholars. So dig out that Halston and your best platform shoes and come join us to shake your groove thing for a great cause!
Our fundraising efforts provide grants to the Manhasset Public Schools to enrich the educational experience of the students, particularly in the areas of arts and technology. This year, The Tower Foundation of Manhasset will be sponsoring additional Future Ready classrooms in the district. Traditional classrooms will be redesigned to include physical enhancements, such as LED lighting, flexible furniture (soft seating, movable and adjustable chairs and desks, writable desktops, collaborative spaces) and better technology which will allow for more individualized instruction, student responsibility, and academic engagement. Research shows that flexible and fluid spaces in the classroom have the potential of transforming learning and helping students succeed beyond the classroom walls.

For those who will be slipping past the red-velvet rope on Saturday, March 9th, this dazzling event promises to see Plandome Country Club transformed into a sleek nightclub reminiscent of the exclusive '70s hotspot from which it is inspired. Roller girls, professional dancers and the unsurpassed music of DJ Steven Retas will make this annual fundraiser a truly unforgettable one, along with our usual collection of outstanding and unique raffle and silent auction items!
