Somerville: Paddle the full seven miles of the Mystic River, including skyline views and access to the scenic lakes and swimming area.

Allston/Brighton: Boating on the Charles River is a wonderful respite from the surrounding city, with parkland on both shores and rowers plying the waters.

Cambridge/Kendall Square: Take in the view of the Boston skyline and the Esplanade, as well as other nearby landmarks like the Zakim Bridge, M.I.T., the Museum of Science, and Boston University.

Newton: Paddle serenely through 57 acres of forests, meadows, and gardens along the Charles River.

Waltham: Moody Street Dam creates the Lakes District of the Charles, a six-mile stretch of flatwater with little current--perfect for picnicking on the water on a summer afternoon.
