Grateful Americans Charity 2019 Houston Gala Honoree
It is our privilege to honor Doug Brown at the "A Night of Honor Gala"
October 19th at the Houston Hyatt Regency Downtown Hotel
Doug Brown is currently Board Chairman of The PTSD Foundation of America, a Houston based non-profit organization and the beneficiary of the 2019 Grateful Americans Charity Gala and Golf tournament. The PTSD Foundation of America is dedicated to assisting our returning Veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder.
Doug has served with Greystar's Investment Group for 19 years, with 15 years as the Managing Director of the Capital Projects Group. His current role with Portfolio Management Group allows him to be actively be involved in the acquisition of properties nationally and internationally.
Doug received his Bachelor of Science degree in Building Construction from Texas A&M University and has over 40 years' experience in the development, construction, and renovation of multifamily properties. He has utilized his expertise and dedication to help manage the development and construction of Camp Hope, an interim housing community for Veterans in Houston, Texas. Camp Hope is a major part of the PTSD Foundation of America.
Did you know?
On any given night over 62,000 Veterans have no home, with the highest population of homeless veterans living right here in Texas.
We lose a Veteran to suicide every 65 minutes and in the last 10 years the number of Veteran's suicides are 2 - 3x's that of civilian suicides. This is an unacceptable state of affairs that cannot be allowed to continue.
We invite everyone to join us in this cause and to help us celebrate our 2019 Houston Gala Honoree, Doug Brown, for his passion and commitment to saving the lives of veterans that fought to defend this country.
