The Exquisite Corpse is a collaborative artist's game that traces its roots to the Surrealists of 1920s Paris and was a favorite drawing game of artists like Man Ray, Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst and even Frida Kahlo.

Participants play by taking turns drawing sections of a body. The first player adds a head-then, without knowing what that head looks like, the next artist adds a torso, and so on. In this way, a comical and often absurd creature is born.

We have two Exquisite Corpses to auction. One by artists David Barnes, Nick Benson and Rupert Nesbitt. The other by Sue McNally, Jessica Rosner and Susannah Strong.
