Russian River Pinots - MacLean's Block 2015 Pinot Noir and EnRoute 2016 Pinot Noir
Hartford MacLean's Block - WE - 94pts - Velvety and luxurious on the nose, this is named for the producers' son and is from a coastal vineyard. Dark cherry and chocolate travel along a smooth spicy thoroughfare of integrated oak and tannin, full-bodied and bold. Forest pine and orange peel add complex nuances of aroma and flavor.
EnRoute "Les Pommiers" 2016 - JS - 93pts; WW - 92pts - Succulent, juicy and fresh red-cherry aromas in a pure, refined style. There's attractive, sinewy, typical pinot flesh and tannins on the palate that make for a compelling offering. Long, focused, generous and well-balanced.
