Magnum of 2016 Isthmus and Collector's Experience for Two

The Hamel Family Wines Collectors' Experience is the quintessential exploration into our series of allocated Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Sauvignon blends. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome glass of Rosé during a tour of our wine-growing and winemaking practices, followed by a private tasting in the Reserve Room in our Cave. You will be guided through a current vintage tasting of our Hamel Family Ranch, Nuns Canyon Vineyard and Pamelita Reserve wines presented alongside a library selection and a seasonal culinary accompaniment from our Executive Chef.

2016 Isthmus Vintage tasting notes:

Dark ruby garnet in hue, this wine shows a bouquet of sweet dark cherry, plum and kirsch over complex notes of soy, vanilla and spice. The fruit evolves to sweet mulled dark red fruits and blackberry preserve on the palate, framed by concentrated, sweet tannins and integrated oak. This wine is the most structured and persistent Isthmus we have made to date. It will provide great drinking pleasure in the near term and continue to develop gracefully over the next ten years. Blend: 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc, 1% Merlot.
