Deep-Sea Sub Dives and Shark Research
Value: $10,000 + $5,000 Donation to WildAid Per Person
Sign up for a spot on an incredibly unique experience. Six individuals to spend four days in the Bahamas in the field with leading shark biologists from the conservation NGO Beneath the Waves, as they collect data on shark behavior and health in one of the world's largest shark sanctuary. The experience will include two, one-hour to three-hour dives (weather dependent), in a 2-person submarine, as well as two days of hands-on shark-tagging research.
You will become submerged in the depths of the Bahamas, at depths up to 1000 feet, looking for sharks alongside leading researchers.
You will help collect the data needed to keep sharks protected in the Bahamas. A focus will be on tiger sharks, which the team has found to be mating in the deep sea habitat off Nassau, New Providence Island, in the Bahamas. Guests will stay aboard an expedition vessel and will include all food, non-alcoholic drinks, and accommodation on board.
The four days in field will occur between June 1 -June 15, 2020. Specific dates will be communicated to each winner when the specific dates are confirmed.
The bidding is for one person only. Each bid is $15,000 (including a $5,000 donation to WildAid). Note that every person who bids will get a spot on board, however after six guests this trip will be full.
