Lakeview Pantry believes that fostering a healthy mind is just as vital to your well being as maintaining your physical health. That's why we make mental wellness a priority for our clients. Our team of licensed clinicians offers individual, couples and group therapies. Our program provides short-term (averaging 3-4 months of weekly sessions) mental health counseling with a focus on crisis stabilization and connection to long-term mental health services as needed.

This annual event recognizes the hard work of our volunteers. Lakeview Pantry has nearly 4,000 volunteers who donate more than 50,000 hours of their time each year!

Provide case management services for the Senior Pop-Up Pantry for one year. An extension of our Home Delivery program, the Senior Pop-Up Pantry brings food access, social services, health partners, and community connections to residential buildings with a high population of individuals who are eligible for Home Delivery services.

Provide all food needed for distribution for one week.

Lakeview Pantry serves an average of 770 families every week. By purchasing food for our distribution program, you are ensuring that the Pantry will always be stocked full of fresh and nutritious groceries for our clients.

Lakeview pantry's new online market is a free service that fits clients' busy schedules, eliminating barriers that
families face when attempting to access food distribution. Clients can place grocery orders on a smartphone or
computer and receive what they need to create healthy and delicious meals.

The Health and Hope Program is a collaborative partnership between Lakeview Pantry and Advocate Illinois Masonic to nourish low-income patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatments. This innovative undertaking was born of current research that shows a direct link between food insecurity and poor health and a direct need that Advocate saw in its client base.

Lakeview pantry spends significant resources rescuing perfectly good food from grocery stores that is simply
near expiration or has damaged packaging. these items would otherwise be thrown away and wasted. the pantry's fleet of food rescue vans drive around the city on a daily basis collecting food and reducing food waste in our communities.

Lakeview pantry is more than just food. our trained team of social workers provides case management and mental
health services to thousands of clients. Alphabet soup is one of our most popular group therapy sessions, focusing on building community and fostering pride for queer and questioning (lgbtq+) members of our city.

Provide all the meat and protein needed for one week of food distribution (about 11,500 pounds).

Lakeview Pantry wants to make sure that everyone we serve has a well-rounded diet. One of the ways that we do this is to purchase items like eggs, meat, and dairy which are not always available from our in-kind donors. Lakeview Pantry purchases about 40% of the food that we distribute.

La Casa Norte's Fresh Market is operated by Lakeview Pantry and serves Humboldt Park residents struggling with hunger. The partnership between the two organizations is an innovative collaboration created from the mutual belief that basic human needs must be met before the cycle of poverty can be broken.

Fund the client nutrition classes for six months.

The Pantry holds monthly cooking classes that teach families how to prepare nutritious recipes with the food that they receive from the Pantry's food distribution program.

Lakeview Pantry serves an average of 110 families every day. By purchasing food for our distribution program, you are ensuring that the Pantry will never run out of food.

Fund the Volunteer Ambassador program (one quarter)

Lakeview Pantry relies on our more than 4,000 volunteers for so much. We could not do this work without them! The Volunteer Ambassadors is a program of around 150 stellar volunteers who train new volunteers, represent the Pantry at functions and regularly go above and beyond for the Pantry.

The Kid's Advisory Council is a group of kids who want to make a difference in their community and meet quarterly to work on volunteer projects and learn about how to fight hunger!

Fund the van for food rescue (one van for one quarter).

The Pantry rescues 16,000 pounds of food every week from our grocery store partners, farmers markets, and other in-kind donors.

Lakeview pantry's newest social service program (SAFE) helps to establish safety, support and stability to those clients experiencing domestic violence. trained social workers help clients develop the tools necessary to restart their lives and focus on healthy relationships.

For every $1 donated to Lakeview Pantry, we are able to provide 8 meals to our neighbors struggling
with hunger. last year, Lakeview Pantry served almost 9,000 individuals through 48,000 site visits. for just $100 you can provide 800 meals!
