This Original Ejnar Hansen is donated by a friend of Sheffield Place. The history of Ejnar Hansen is included on the table and is fascinating. Piece measures 20" x 16" and is framed.

Born in Copenhagen, Denmark on Jan. 9, 1884, Hansen attended the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen. He arrived in the U.S. in 1914 and lived in Michigan and Wheaton, IL before settling in Pasadena in 1924. He taught at Chouinard and Otis Art Institutes, Pomona College, John Muir College, and the Pasadena School of Fine Arts. Hansen died in Pasadena on Sept. 26, 1965.

His oeuvre includes still lifes, landscapes, portraits, and figure compositions in oil and watercolor. His works won many awards in southern California exhibitions from 1927.

Born on the Caribbean Coast of Colombia to a family of artists, Maria Johnson, "MaJo", could not help but inherit their talent. MaJo's arts supportive environment provided by her family helped her cultivate her craft. The best recollections of her childhood are the beautiful landscapes at sunset that her father painted.

Paige smith, 24 born and raised in Missouri. A musician, singer and talented artist. Has won several awards for her works through her school years. Lived abroad her junior summer and experienced life through the eyes of a French family. This piece, The Jungle, is a bird that"demanded that I bring it to life"!
