Sarah Sobecke, artist and Bay View Montessori parent, has graciously donated a custom oil painting of your best friend, your dog!

Provide Sarah clear and well lit pictures of your dog and she will create a treasured portrait.

From the time you provide the pictures of your dog - and Sarah agrees that they are suitable to work from - Sarah will provide an unframed oil painting on canvas back to you within 9 months. The painting will be approximately 11"x15" to 20"x20" depending on the image of the dog.

Sarah is a graduate from School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University, Boston, MA. Sarah has had her work featured in Contemporary Arts Center, Cincinnati, Ohio; Artists Space, New York, NY; Gallery 402, New York, NY; and Sara Meltzer Gallery, New York, NY.

The girl scouts sewed together many of the strips that make up the blocks. A few of those strips were cut from fabric they drew on. This was the first time at a sewing machine for many of them. We had a multi-generational team of volunteers, including three sets of grandmothers. The result is an instantly charming, vintage-feel, imperfectly perfect quilt. It's an instant treasure!
