Mrs. Sterling will take the winner and a friend to the Metropolitan Museum of Art or their museum of choice for a special personal tour. Each child will create a new sketchbook and receive drawing materials to use on the tour. The trip will conclude in the museum cafe with a yummy treat.

You and up to three friends will meet with Mr. Laughead and Mrs. Farrugia in the choir loft for a "MUSIC ROOM PIZZA PARTY" after school. In your time together, you'll be able to share your favorite music and musical activities with friends. You can bring CD's or I Pads and hook them into our new sound system. This is your chance to play any of the instruments in the music room that you've been wanting to play. You might even plan a musical activity or a favorite song to share the next time your class meets for music class. Pizza and drinks will be furnished - just bring your appetites! The event will occur on a Wednesday afternoon immediately after school and last from 3:15 to 4:45. You and your parents can choose the actual date with Mr. Laughead and Mrs. Farrugia.
The winning student can bring a friend and spend an hour after school making silly, goofy puppets with Ms. Katie.

Come paint at Color Me Mine with the 1A teachers, Ms. Schilling and Ms. LeDe! We'll go to Color Me Mine on the Upper West Side where your student and a friend will choose a piece of pottery to paint. Their custom design will be glazed so that they can cherish it for years to come!
Check out the Financial District, Lower Manhattan, Federal Hall, the Stock Exchange, Chase Manhattan Plaza, Holy Trinity Church, etc. Trip on the Staten Island Ferry and lunch will be provided.
