This new series explores the history of New York City through the artist's observations of architectural details and public artworks in different part of Manhattan.
James Delaney explains; "I've been visiting the city each year in spring and I'd spend a few weeks walking the streets and recording observations with my iPhone. I grew interested in the history around me, and started digging in archives.
Back in Joburg, I worked with the images, combining old and new, and developed lithographs in small editions.
A new series is emerging; tracking doorways and historic buildings and the clues they present about the history of the city. These are full colour, larger format limited edition prints."
