The Akanksha Fund is a registered not-for-profit publicly supported 501(c)(3) charity that raises support and builds awareness in the U.S. for educational opportunities for disadvantaged children in India.
Through grants to the Akanksha Foundation in India, we assist some of the most marginalized children in maximizing their potential. Akanksha started with the simple belief that all children, regardless of their background, have limitless potential and deserve a chance to discover this potential. Akanksha is helping to bridge India's educational gap through policy reform on a national level and by piloting best in class model schools that develop future global leaders.
Akanksha is the largest urban network of schools under a public-private partnership model in India and runs 21 schools across Mumbai and Pune, serving over 8,000 students and 2,500 alumni.
