Each $10 donation through the "My First Ticket" program will pay for a child to attend their first orchestra concert.
The Symphony performs concerts and provides educational programs for more than 18,000 students annually but we need your support to help fulfill the increasing number of requests from schools and families. This season, the Symphony has identified three schools with students who would like to attend a concert but cannot afford a ticket. Will you help them experience the joy of live symphonic music for the first time?
At the whole note level, you support the NHSO's "whole" comprehensive education program that annually serves over 18,000 students, teachers, families, and adults. Program offerings include The Family Concert Series, the Young People's Concerts, Instrument Discovery Zones, The Young Composers Project, and the Harmony Fellowship For Underrepresented Musicians.
Give the gift of music! The half note level of support covers the cost of one "Creating Musical Readers" program in a daycare center, preschool, or elementary school, promoting literacy and music.
Give the gift of music! The quarter note level of support underwrites an NHSO music lecture at a community center, residential facility,or school.
Give the gift of music! The eighth note level of support funds an "Instrument Discovery Zone", which is often where children try to play an instrument for the first time. Instrument Discovery Zones are held in community centers, schools, and parks around the state.
Give the gift of music. The sixteenth note level of support gives four students admission into the annual Young People's Concert, often the first concert experience of a child's life.
