Taco Fever: Kids Cooking Class

Guided by a professional chef, kids will learn basic kitchen skills, kitchen safety, and make their own delicious meal FROM SCRATCH. This is a fun, interactive, hands on cooking class. The menu includes tacos with all the fixings, freshly made corn tortillas, guacamole, pico de gallo, and homemade cinnamon churros with warm chocolate dipping sauce. Kids will enjoy their feast throughout class and additional drinks and snacks will also be provided. This is a drop off event.

Gourmet Dinner Party with Dan Vorenberg

Calling all foodies! Join Dan Vorenberg for an elegant and intimate dinner party at the gorgeous home of Kamyar and Natasha Shabani. Chefs Ben Seto (a master chef who has cooked at some of Los Angeles' top restaurants, such as Mozza, Craft and WP24) and Dom DiBartolomeo (owner of Domenico's artisanal Italian foods) will whip up an incredible feast featuring Dom's handmade pastas and sauces. The Shabanis will match the menu with top notch wines from their private cellar for a spectacular evening of wining and dining with our incredible Head of School. You will not want to miss this unforgettable night!
Art and Etiquette at the Getty

Led by renown historian Felix Pfeifle, the afternoon will feature a thoughtfully guided tour of the gardens and part of The Getty Collection. Children will also enjoy afternoon tea while learning the lost art of etiquette and basic table manners. This very special and unique event was sold out twice last year. It is a refreshing respite from the world of technology and devices and a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon. This is a drop-off event that will have excellent adult supervision.

Start your Saturday with an adventure for the whole family. Sender City is a unique climbing experience with exciting challenges designed for both kids and adults. Climb buildings, towers, shapes or race your friends to the top of the walls. Relax with a slice of pizza after you've conquered the city. No experience necessary. Open to non-Mirman siblings. Minimum weight requirement - 35lbs.

Lounge in style at this mid-century modern home in the beautiful Santa Monica canyon. Swill martinis and dine on a spread of classic 50's hors d'oeuvres like canapes, blini caviar, shrimp cocktail, deviled eggs, pineapple upside down cake and more, all while you mingle with our wonderful Mirman community. Dressing up in retro style is encouraged, but not required.
US2 Museum of the Holocaust Tour

Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust
Open to Upper School 2 Students only
US2 students can have the unique educational experience of visiting The Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust with their peers. Founded by survivors in 1961, the museum is the oldest of its kind in the United States with a mission to educate, commemorate and inspire. An intimate guided tour of the museum will be followed by an exclusive talking session with a Holocaust survivor. The afternoon will conclude with a well-deserved pit stop at nearby Sweet Rose Creamery for a tasty treat. This is a drop-off event for Upper School 2 students only. Please note that the tour will be of the entire museum and will include sensitive, graphic subject matter and photos.

Wine Tasting: Old World vs. New World

Join a master sommelier to taste and learn about the wines of the old and new world. You will have the chance to explore four grape varietals and taste eight different wines. Anne and Dan Lukas will host this extravagant feast for the senses at the beautiful Domaine LA wine shop in Hollywood. Along with the wines, you will get to enjoy cheese and dessert pairings, as well as a full buffet dinner.
