This faux drawing depicts Saber, a male white tiger, resting on his platform at Carolina Tiger Rescue. From this advantage point, Saber delights in watching the vultures that linger nearby.

All white tigers are inbred and thus are commonly afflicted with immune, skeletal, or neurological conditions. This drawing shows that Saber is extremely cross-eyed. Saber is also declawed and defanged. Declawing and defanging are not uncommon in captive tigers used as "pay-to-pet" animals or as exotic pets. Such practices contribute to dental disease and ambulatory difficulty later in life.
