Tournesol wine estate is located in the Coombsville AVA of Napa Valley. Bob and Anne Arns have dreamed of owning a small vineyard estate since their wedding over 40 years ago. With a keen interest in wine and inspiration pulled from the infamous "Judgement of Paris," the Arns planted 15 acres of Bordeaux varietals on a gently sloping bench 300 feet above the valley floor. Tournesol vines enjoy perfect exposure to the sun with cool breezes from the San Francisco Bay providing an ideal growing climate. Nurtured by winemaker Ken Bernards since the first harvest in 2002, Tournesol continues to produce beautiful wines that express exotic personality and approachability. Ken is also the owner and winemaker of Carneros-based Ancien, a winery focused on the French artisanal tradition of in-barrel aging.

A longtime resident of Walton County, Justin Gaffrey has enjoyed a variety of successful careers prior to turning to art in 2001. It was as a renowned chef and restaurant owner that Justin first expressed his creative drive. The love he felt for the act of creating was what ultimately drove him from the daily grind of the restaurant business to the purely creative life of the visual artist.
Beginning with primitive, "folk art" style works, Justin soon moved to a much more textured, classically impressionistic style. He credits a viewing of Van Gogh's "Sunflowers" as the epiphany that sent him searching for a medium and technique that would allow him to achieve the deeply textured, multi-dimensional work he crafts today.
Today he produces works of breathtaking beauty and complexity using only a palette knife and pure, acrylic paints (no fillers are used). His technique might best be described as "sculpting with paint."
