The perfect lot for a wine connoisseur, this bottle of Chateau Pichon Longueville Comtesse 2001 Pauillac Grand Cru Classe has been stored with care. Pichon Longueville was founded in 1694 in Pauillac, in Bordeaux's best area, near celebrated first-growth producers Lafite-Rothschild, Latour, and Mouton-Rothschild. According to Robert Parker, "A distinctive bouquet of violets, soy, pepper, blackberries, cassis, and tree bark gives this 2001 a singular style. This dense ruby/purple-colored blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, and a whopping 14% Petit Verdot exhibits plenty of structure, wonderful sweetness, a closed style, but a rich, textured, persistent character." Drink now through 2021.
