Since Anderson's 2016 solo exhibition Kissing Post 92 at The Low Museum, they have shown a number of painted silk flags and paintings combining canvas and silk, which often display sparse, poetic text. Drawing on painting and calligraphy techniques, the flags' texture and form also suggest associations of softness, tenderness, and fluidity.
