Sarah is interested in interior spaces as a metaphor for the mind. The settings for her paintings are based on different rooms in the artists home. She collages different areas of rooms together to create a completely new space, while other rooms marked by recurring objects remain the same and are archetypes. The figures are often of herself or close relatives serving as auto-biographical snippets into her personal life.
Sarah grew up in Brooklyn and is now based in Atlanta, GA. She graduated with a BFA in painting from Georgia State University in 2018 and has been the recipient of The School Art Leauge's Haney Medal from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Vera Jernigian Green Memorial art award from Georgia State University. Her work has been shown in group exhibitions in Atlanta at The Mammal Gallery, Day & Night Projects, and the Welch School Galleries.
