This painting was recently exhibited at Atlanta Contemporary in a group show, Vivid Memories of a Blurred Past. Anderson uses everyday objects such as fruit, candles, and trees to create his minimal but surreal compositions. By repeating and patterning these objects forms and interiors, these once familiar objects become psychedelic and strange.
Anderson graduated from Watkins College of Art in 2016 and has exhibited his work widely in the subsequent years. His solo exhibition Earthbound at Elephant in Nashville was reviewed in the September 2018 issue of Art in America. He is represented by Patrick Painter, Inc. Gallery (Los Angeles, CA) and David Lusk Gallery (Nashville & Memphis, TN). Anderson will have a solo exhibition at BLAA Gallery (Copenhagen, DK) in Spring 2019. He also co-curates an artist-run space called mild climate and is the founder/director/curator of The Electric Shed in Nashville, TN.
