And another aged broken vertical from the Left Bank
One bottle each of:
1994 and 2010 Chateau Meyney Saint-Estephe, Bordeaux, France
The 1994 received a rating of 87 by Wine Spectator: "A wonderfully silky wine, with lovely cherry, raspberry and plum aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, with fine tannins and a fresh, fruity finish. A joy to taste."
The 2010 received a rating of 90 from Wine Spectator: "Solid, if a bit chunky in feel, with a slightly squared-off charcoal and ganache frame surrounding a core of dark plum, black currant and licorice root. Shows more austerity than flesh, but displays outstanding length and cut. This has added lots of grip in élevage. For fans of the taut style. Best from 2016 through 2026. 11,250 cases made."
