It's time to go on a magical forest adventure at our 150-acre Butler Campus with our one-of-a-kind outdoor immersion camp for young children, modeled after Laurel's extremely popular Outdoor Pre-Primary School and led by Laurel faculty. Campers will explore nature along the wooded trails, near the ponds or in the creeks and will participate in open-ended play in our activity area. Each camper will experience a variety of process art opportunities throughout the week. This camp runs outdoors in all weather--in the event of lightning or high winds, our cozy Yurt will provide shelter. Campers must be three years old at the time of camp, secure in their potty training, be appropriately dressed for the weather and have a sense of adventure!

All Pre-Primary children have participated in this endeavor, channeling their inner Jackson Pollocks to drip paint onto a large museum mounted canvas. Our palette was inspired by the Butler Campus, and each class/level is represented by a specific color. Pre-K went first, with several tones of brown for the trees. Preschool was next with greens for leaves and grass. The Early Learners added rusty red to represent the treehouse and golden yellows to represent the sun as well as the Yurt. The Outdoor Pre-Primary added the final layer of sky blues. This art piece is very special, as it includes 80+ Pre-Primary families whose children participated in the project.

Not only does Stan Bender teach science in the Upper School, he is also a talented photographer. This collage will certainly add a nice pop of color into any space.

You and nine (9) friends will have access to the entire Project Adventure Course and zipline at the Butler Campus for up to two (2) hours. The Project Adventure Course consists of 15 high- and low-rope elements, including a zip line, swing shot, cat walk and more!
