Framed 14x13 watercolor by Award Winning artist, Neill Slaughter of Augustus Saint Gaudens' famous statue in front of the Plaza Hotel with the Sherry Netherland Hotel rising up behind the statue of the golden horse and "Liberty" leading the way.

Artist and University Professor Neill Slaughter graduated with a BFA honors degree in 1975 from the University of Georgia and received his MFA in 1978 from Indiana University. From 1978 to the present Professor Slaughter has taught fine arts courses as well as art history at the university level in addition to exhibiting his drawings and paintings nationally and internationally. Having also lived and taught abroad as well as traveling extensively throughout the world, Slaughter's paintings often reflect the social conditions of his surroundings. Among his awards and honors, Professor Slaughter has received a Ford Foundation Fellowship, a Scottish Arts Council Grant, an LMU Research Grant to Africa and a Fulbright Fellowship to India. In 2003 Professor Slaughter was presented the David Newton Award for Excellence in Teaching granted by Long Island University and in 2008 he mounted a thirty-year retrospective, which included a full color catalogue.
