When asked about her work she says: "When creating pieces, I believe it is important to look for life's hidden beauties not just in bleak situations but also in our everyday lives. I want my work to portray the human spirit in all of its facets. My goal is to capture the emotions that we feel as we go through life, and to communicate these emotions with my audience. I want to inspire people to look for the magic around them and to cherish the fragility of life."

"WHAT IS THE MINIMAL AMOUNT OF INFORMATION NEEDED TO PERCEIVE FORM?"
"CAN STRUCTURE CONVEY FLUIDITY AND MOVEMENT?"
These were the original questions behind
SPOON's graphic experimentation that ultimately led to the development of her uniquely recognizable style. Removing content until the subject is unrecognizable, she slowly reintroduces data and color in search of the threshold where visual and mental perceptions are balanced.
What began as an idea she was testing for fun quickly turned into something distinctive that can now be seen at Fortune 500 Companies, sport stadiums, luxury hotels, museums and private residences around the world.
Every painting is composed and painted by hand, one dot at time. In redacting a subject to the edge of recognition, she challenges viewers to recompose only the information that is absolutely necessary.
Distance, viewing angle, and even a camera lens changes the way SPOON's artwork resolves. As a result, everyone will experience it differently depending on their perspective, not just mentally, but physically. This moving target of data assemblage constantly challenges her to rethink each painting in a new way.
Her background in Urban Design and study of Architecture + Engineering have undoubtedly shaped the way SPOON approached art and what led to her initial concept. She also maintains a sense of environmental and social responsibility.
By using the techniques she learned as a LEED Green Professional (buying locally sourced non-toxic materials) and donating a portion of the proceeds from every painting sale to charity, she tries to ensure that her success benefits the greater good.

I'm a multidisciplinary artist and licensed architect, and I create art that's meant to heal, uplift, and celebrate culture. For me, art isn't just about what we see, it's about how it makes us feel in the spaces we move through every day. My work explores the connection between built environments and emotional well-being that turns walls, walkways, and spaces into living stories of resilience and connection. I call my approach "healing architecture" because it's art that is both beautiful to experience and restorative to the spirit. Because of my training in architecture, I understand how spaces hold our hopes, fears, and dreams, especially in moments of transition. I think of my work as creating thresholds of transformation, where people are welcomed with messages of renewal and cultural richness.

Vicountess on the Edge of a Board

Artist: Greg Blount

Medium: Oil on Canvas

Size: 36" x 60"

Artistic Approach
Translating experiences on a canvas with curiosity.
Inspired by artists from Hockney to Picasso to Degas, as well as contemporary artists. Blount
probes how to engage the viewer with subversive, incongruent images, themes, and
abstractions.
As an environmental lawyer, much of his early work was comprised of representational wildlife
and natural subjects. In recent years his art has been influenced by the color and perspective of
David Hockney in pools and landscapes. Movement and dance, based on associations with theAtlanta Ballet and Terminus Modern Ballet Theater, still influence his subject matter. His work incorporates political and social themes as well.

Education and Background
Gregory Blount is a native of Athens, Georgia and has been painting for about 30 years. In the
words of Winston Churchill, Happy are the painters for they shall not be lonely. Light and colour, peace and hope, will keep them company to the end, or almost to the end, of the day.
Greg's interest in painting began as a creative counterpoint to his career as an environmental
lawyer. Building on his education in Southern literature and creative writing, his formal art
education includes instruction from the Woodruff Arts Center and Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) while pursuing a Master of Fine Arts, among other programs.
Greg's works are held primarily by private collectors and have been auctioned at nonprofit
events benefitting The Atlanta Opera, The Atlanta Ballet, Weekend for Wildlife at Sea Island, the Georgia Conservancy's ecoBenefete, Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, and the UK Antarctic Heritage Trust. He is a member of the Artists Club of Washington, D.C. and a former member ofthe Chatt Hills Gallery at Serenbe. Greg continues to practice environmental law across the US for major US corporations and lives in Atlanta and Serenbe with his wife Jane.

Artist: Jeremy Minnick

Medium: Wood (Padauk)

Size: 24" x 12"

Jeremy Minnick is an Athens, Georgia artist who creates functional wood artwork in the
form of handcrafted serving boards.

I'vedeveloped a practice where beautiful or meaningful objects can emerge from a
collection of small decisions rather than any large overture. As the work has emerged,
its challenged my own assumptions. What I learn about myself from making these
continues to evolve. Why I want to make the next one continues to evolve, too.

A few things that remain consistent:
- I like exploring how structure supports abundance.
- Intimate gatherings with people I care about are my most treasured memories.
- Wood is incredible.
- I enjoy geometric shapes, patterns, and how these things together can create a
collective identity of an object.

I don't have a single, cohesive thesis about why I make these. I don't fully understand
the work and my relationship to it, but the evolution and continued surprises give me
something no other path has.

So I continue.

Artist Statement
I work in watercolor, acrylic and oil; my favorite is watercolor. I love the freedom this medium
provides and how the paints react to the way I apply my brush. It is also very transportable. It
allows me to travel with a minimum of supplies across the globe or to a local park to paint
outdoors. Working in nature, heightens all my senses that then take hold in my paintings. In
addition to the beautiful landscape in front of me; I like to capture the sound of the birds and
insects chirping, the soft breeze on the back of my neck, the smell of the sea water and the
taste of local foods into my paintings. Although some of my outdoor paintings are finished
works many also are studies. I always take the information I gathered onsite and incorporate
them into my studio paintings.

Artist: Cathy Ehrler

Medium: Recycled Materials

Size: 20' x 16"

Cathy Ehrler - Artist Bio
Cathy Ehrler is an Atlanta-based environmental artist who creates mosaics and assemblages from
post-consumer waste, found objects, and discarded materials. After an earlier career working
primarily in watercolor and oil, her concern about the growing amount of waste in our
environment led her to make the discarded materials themselves the medium of her work.
Using colorful plastics, packaging, broken CDs, aluminum, cardboard, and other everyday
materials, Cathy transforms what might otherwise be thrown away into intricate, often luminous
works of art. Her floral mosaics celebrate the beauty of the natural world while inviting viewers
to look more closely at what we consume and discard.
Cathy's work has been exhibited throughout the Atlanta area and has received recognition in
juried exhibitions. Through her art, she hopes to demonstrate that even the most ordinary piece
of trash can be reclaimed, reconsidered, and transformed into something beautiful.

Artist Statement: The journey from inspiration to finished work is fluid and deeply
personal. I find joy in observing the world around me, seizing upon fragments of beauty
- a fleeting expression, a dramatic body of water, or the contrast of nature against man-
made objects. These glimpses become seeds of ideas, which I nurture and develop in
the studio, layering colors, experimenting with materials, and allowing intuition to shape
the final piece. This process is not just about representation but about evoking feeling; I
want my art to be seen, felt, and, when possible, even heard - to resonate with others
as it does with me.

Size: 8" x 10" x 5.5"

Doug Pisik is a nationally recognized artist who specializes in creating wood sculptures, 3D wall
pieces and intricate art boxes with complex designs both inside and out. He uses a meticulous
and unique approach to construct both geometrical patterns and freeform carvings while
preserving the natural beauty of the diverse wood species he uses.

Who, been part of over twenty museum exhibitions, received awards in many juried exhibits of

His work is collected by Tony and Emmy award winners, movie producers, Pulitzer and
Grammy nominees, CEOs, an art museum, botanical gardens, authors, other artists, and can be
found in collections coast-to-coast and overseas. His art is sold via private commissions, the

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas

Size: 36" x 36"

Edisson Fernandez was born in Bogota, Colombia in 1974. His love for art began at a young age as he was introduced to drawing and freehand creativity by his mother and school nuns as a means to cope with juvenile asthma. As are many, Fernandez is no stranger to hard work and hardship. Following the death of his parents Fernandez found himself in a situation where he was required to grow up quickly - taking on a parental role for his younger siblings. Art was always a refuge - a means of escape into the realm of his dreams and fantasies.

Fernandez's work is deeply influenced by his love for city life - in particular that of Bogota and the surrounding areas of his beloved capital. Fernandez often finds himself torn between an inherent dichotomous nature - his love for the city and its inevitable chaos; and, an inexplicable pull and desire felt to experience and explore the wonders of the country in peaceful solitude.

Fernandez's catalog is also characterized by the force of his sexuality and his passion for the human figure. Fernandez sees an inherent beauty and vulnerability in the nakedness of form and believes it bares the true essence of a being, their character, hopes, dreams and fears.

Fernandez has a deep appreciation for expressionism. In particular the works of Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt have been an inspiration for Fernandez who believes expressionism "is one way to portray intangible emotions and mental struggles, visually, through an appreciable canvas." Having never formally studied art, Fernandez is a true self-taught artist who loves to experiment in various mediums.

Artist: Vinayak Godbole

Medium: Acrylic on Canvas Panel

Size: 16" x 20"

The central element in each of my paintings is the composition of hues. My paintings are easily recognized by layered acrylic impasto paint..

I studied fine art at the Chitra Mandir Art institute under the guidance of Mr. KB Kulkarni, a renowned portrait and watercolor artist. Later, I developed interest and focused on colors- subtle tones that guide our eyes.

About 100+ of my paintings have adorned residential and business spaces in the USA and some in Europe in recent years.

Presently, I am a full time artist. I have a studio space of 250 square feet in Greenville SC and representations in several regional galleries.

My gallery pieces are typically 20-30 inches whereas the commissions are 30-40 inch in size.
It gives me great satisfaction when my paintings bring smiles.

Artist: Kathy McCullen

Medium: Oil

Size: 30" x 40"

Kathy McCullen is a Georgia-based painter whose work moves between abstraction and representation. Drawn to moments of transition-first light, shifting weather, quiet interiors, the meeting of sea and sky-she uses color, texture, and layers of translucent and opaque pigment to explore the transformative qualities of light and atmosphere.

McCullen grew up in Mississippi in a family that valued imagination, literature, craft, and the natural world. Some of her earliest memories of making and looking are rooted in her grandmother's garden, where she learned the names, habits, and stories of flowers. Although she entered college intending to study art, an early experience working with children with disabilities led her instead to education. During a long teaching career, art remained central to her work with children and students.

She returned seriously to her own painting after her sons left for college. Primarily self-taught, with additional study through workshops with painters she admired, McCullen developed an intuitive, process-driven practice of layering, obscuring, deconstructing, and rediscovering the image.

A lifelong reader and teacher of literature, McCullen frequently finds a point of connection between poetry and painting, sometimes borrowing a line of verse for a title. Whether painting landscape, figure, or flowers, she is less interested in literal description than where observation gives way to memory, atmosphere, and feeling.

McCullen's work has been exhibited throughout the Southeast and is represented by Robert Kent Galleries in Marietta, Georgia, and Mary Martin Gallery in Charleston, South Carolina.
