We start this year's fall sale with an absolute powerhouse of a bull. Rhino is just as his name describes. He is a beast. Easily one of the most explosive, impressive Brangus bulls I have seen in person. His top is huge, his butt is huge, his length of body is insane, and he is as sound as you can make one. Rhino was one of our herd bulls that we have used for a few years, but between his daughters that we have kept, the fact that he is a direct son of one of our matriarchs, Raven, and his sister, Reina, whom we are flushing left and right - he is just being severely underutilized. We simply have too much of his blood in the herd. Rhino comes from the best of our herd and Diamond K Slugger, who has had a monumental impact on our operation and the Brangus show world. If you are remotely interested in this bull - I STRONGLY urge you to come see him in person - I guarantee you will be happy that you did. He is AMAZING in person. A photo and video just can't capture his mass and magnitude.

Lot 2 kicks off our heifer offering in a bold fashion. Moana is out of one of Belle's clones and Cheap Thrills - a Drogo son who we have used heavily this past season. She has been a bit of a unicorn since she was born. When Seth came down to clip for sale pictures, he nicknamed her DINOSAUR, because she has BIG feet, BIG legs, and a LONG neck. She has an enormous, round ribcage and for all her boldness and ruggedness - her chest floor is as neat and tucked up as they come. Now this heifer is still plenty green (one of the greenest in the sale) and raw but man she does have some out there pieces. We are a big fan of this heifer - DINOSAUR.
Lot 3 is a Rooster daughter out of a stupendous Raven X Dynamite cow. Rooster's dam, 88Y16, would be a maternal sib to Hercules and the dam of Drogo. These Rooster daughters have impressed me so much. True to form, this heifer has an impeccable back leg and hoof. She is level topped, good hipped, and maternal in her upper and lower belly. I especially like how soft she is in her flank area. She comes with a little throat latch, but her neck is plenty long, and she reads ultra feminine and cowy. This one does have some hair so if you are wanting one to fit up - Wren does have a little fuzz, and I think she will always have a little more hair than the rest. One of my favorites for sure!
If this wasn't a predominantly purebred sale, this ARB would make a hard run at Lot 1. This heifer is a killer when it comes to look and presence. She is downright SEXY. I love how her head and neck are feminine and petite but also stout and powerful. This heifer is not fat at all so the top shape and boldness that she possesses is true. She is a great two-year heifer that has the legs and structure to go the distance as a big bred at majors. Her dam is a high-Maine that we own with Levi. She has been sitting out in the South Texas heat suffering for a few months, but when winter decides to show its face and she get treated like a show heifer - I do believe she will have good hair and really bloom. Jessica has a great look and will be a wicked bred in the 2nd year. She excites me!!
Lot 5 & 6 are quite a pair. They are identical twin embryo heifers. Honestly, I hate to split them up because of what a dynamic duo they are (anyone looking for a really good pen of 2). While they are sooooo similar in sooo many ways - Lot 5 is the COW of the pair. If you are in the market for an absolute belly dragger, broody, whale of a cow - twin 1 (that's what we called her) is your speed. She is so soggy and powerful - she looks like a miniature donor cow already. For all her body and volume - would you look at that front end! Holy cow that is a long neck and a good chest floor on a massive body. Game changer - future DONOR!
You can really say all the same things about Lot 6. She is extra big bodied, round ribbed, long spined, and deep flanked; however, Kylie (or twin 2), is perhaps a little showier and more refined in her head and neck. She isn't quite as overwhelming at Lot 5 but in a good way. She is a little more elegant and her silhouette is a bit more streamlined. On these two heifers it is really a personal preference but what a neat pair of sisters that are such a testament to the power of their dam, 1019G - a Callie daughter (full sib to Masterplan) and Dynamite. We are proud to have raised them and loved watching them grow and are excited for their futures.
Lot 7 is perhaps the greenest heifer in the sale but also one of the most structurally correct and naturally deep heifers in the group. Her dam, Tiger Lily, is a direct Belle daughter that the Hinze family led to victory on multiple occasions. She was reserve champion Futurity heifer, champion Brangus at FW, Reserve Champion at Houston and Austin - and still to this day, one of my favorite Brangus heifers of all time. Lot 7's body type and look are the exact same as her dam. She is so soft made, beautiful hipped and flat shouldered. Her back leg is flawless and she moves with ease. She may be skinny, but she is good. I look at this heifer and see FUTURE.
Lot 8 is a maternal sib to Lots 5 & 6 and another brood cow DELUX. Cora is one of the oldest heifers in the group but a little more age isn't what makes her the SOW she is - she was born that way. A typical Slugger daughter, Lot 8 is sappy bellied, big boned, and high performing. Again, yes, she has a little leather (she is a Brangus after all), but as you see in the video, with her head up, she is as lovely and feminine as can be. Cora has a coming 2-year-old brother that we are keeping back, and he gets more impressive every day. We love the consistency of this mating and put in all the embryos we had left this past spring when Cora was born. This is another one that is VERY difficult to part with. She is also very easy-going and gentle.
Lot 9 is another Cheap Thrills daughter that has been an early favorite. She has a dainty head and neck with a very feminine silhouette. This moderate little cow is ultra complete and hard to really poke a hole in. She is smooth in her shoulder and transitions so flawlessly into a big bold upper rib and hindquarter. She has a great hip and plenty of natural shape. Ivy is long bodied while maintaining plenty of brood cow softness. She is great on the move and motors around with grace. Her dam, Sasha Fierce, was reserve at Austin a few years ago for the Pickett family. She comes from the oldest cow family on the ranch that really started it all. She has a cute personality as well.
Lot 10 is a real sweetheart; she is the one that comes up to you in the pen to be pet. She is no slouch either, this is quite a maternal, big barreled gal. She has plenty of depth and spring of rib. She is sound on her feet and really gets out and reaches. Out of a full sister to Belle and Rhino - she combines our two best cow families. Like several others, she is young and needs more groceries, but the pieces and potential are there. If she turns out anything like her mother, you have got yourself a great cow that pays her way every year. I'm pretty sure she is happy to be hanging out in the barn until that time comes though.
Lot 11 is not halter broke! She sells unbroke. Just want to make that clear. Not saying it can't be done, we just didn't have the extra time to put into one that is a little more stubborn than the rest. This is a good cow though. She is big boned and big footed with plenty of muscle and dimension and can really get out and go. She comes in a moderate package and has the right character to work in a purebred operation or an American club calf herd. She is a Drogo daughter and a full sib to Cheap thrills who has done a great job for us based on this set of heifers. She may not be the showring kind, but she is the money-making kind.
Lot 12 is a full sister to Lot 2. She shows more of the Angus side of the breed and is very smooth and pretty. She is extremely long bodied and long hipped. She is big backed and good in her forerib. She is robust and bloomy behind her shoulder blades and over her top. Peppa has a long, elegant silhouette and reads very smooth and true in her shape. I can see her being a big, massive, bred heifer that commands a lot of attention. Speaking of massive cows, her dam, Anastasia - a clone of Bell of the Ball - produced the National Champion Brangus heifer a few years ago as well as the Reserve Champion Brangus heifer at Fort Worth. Purple is in her blood.
Lot 13 is a DIAMOND in the rough. This is the one Savannah didn't want to part with - and for good reason. This is a super complete kind of female. She has plenty of bone, foot, and rib shape and wraps it all up in a rugged little package that maintains a good look of quality and eye appeal. She is going to be a moderate but stout cow. Her sister sold in last year's fall sale to the Taylor family in Florida and has gone on to win many of their top shows. Also, a full sib to Cheap Thrills - this Drogo daughter is a hard one to sell. Diamond is a little rough around the edges. She is stubborn and doesn't really want to lead yet. Her new owner needs some grit and determination to win her over and maybe a good bungie. She will be worth it though.
Another long bodied, deep sided heifer comes next. She is feminine and clean made with some shape and boldness to her rib when you set in behind her. She is good chested with a nice underline. She also has a great pedigree with many champions on both sides. Lot 14 was born backwards and when her mom pushed her out, she landed bad and it caused her tail to be kind of broken or jerked to the side. Due to the trauma that it caused her tailhead area, she may not maintain enough balance to be a show heifer but will make a fine cow with excellent genetics. She may not end up being a show heifer, but I believe she can raise one.
Lot 15 is a Rocky daughter out of a first calf heifer. She comes from the 1252 cow family that originated from South Gate many years ago. We have several 1252s in our herd and they make high performing cows that produce good calves every year. This little heifer is no exception. She is a big bodied, attractive female with a ladylike head and neck and very appealing look from the side. She is one of the younger calves and still has some growing to do but one that progresses everyday and will make someone an ultra-complete show heifer, a dang good 2-year project and cow. She is fancy.
I really love this Uproar heifer. She is the stoutest, squarest, and biggest topped heifer in the sale. She is absolutely packed with red meat. She has a great back leg and beautiful feet. Despite being a brick house, Lot 15 is very long necked and cool fronted. She gives you an extra high-quality look with the shape and squareness of a fat steer. If I was after a dense made donor cow - she would be my pick. We haven't had many Uproar calves born yet but so far, they are square, moderate, good legged, and stout with a big rib and some look. This heifer is a great representation of her sire and an exceptional beef cow. Her dam is a sister to Fabio and one high producing, good looking female. Florence is gentle as well.
The second ARB heifer in this sale hails from Rocking 4P Ranch out of a heifer we sold them several years ago. I am a FAN! This heifer grows on me more and more everyday - I have had to keep myself under control and fight the urge to just put her in a back pen and keep her for Georgia to show. This thing has the itty bittiest, choke frontedest (these are not real words), teeny tiny head and neck EVER and I DIG it. She is big topped and square over her blades with plenty of booty. She is sound and correct and moves out just right. Her granddam is a daughter of the famous 1203 cow of Horns which makes her pedigree extra special. This freaky little thing will be a knockout calf and a potential grand slam as a 2 year heavy bred at majors.
Lot 18 rounds out the heifers. She is a full sib to the Reina X Fortune daughter Georgia won the Bred & Owned Show at State and Nationals with - one many would call a crowd favorite since she was a baby at majors. Our Reina cow, which is Rhino's full sister, had a very decorated show career including, Champion Futurity Female, Champion Brangus at Austin, Reserve Champion Female Texas Invitational, and Reserve Champion Futurity Female as a bred. We are flushing her a lot and look forward to big things from her. Our goal is for her to follow in her mother's (Raven) footsteps and take over as matriarch of 1 branch of our 302 cow family (Belle's Mom is the other branch). But let's talk about Lot 18. Lot 18 has a cocky presence that exudes quality. She is stout structured and super sound. She is young and green but shows plenty of depth and true shape. She isn't just a show heifer - she is a breeding piece. Rhaena is a little standoffish but just needs fine tuning and consistent love and attention. Lot 18 is also a full sib to Lot 20 - a standout herd sire prospect that is as good as they come.
We are offering three coming 2-year-old bulls that we believe represent Brangus bulls at their best. Tough, hardy bulls that go to work and get the job done. Lot 20 is a power bull. He is, like his sire, a big stout, big butted, big legged rascal. He is masculine with a long neck, long spine and very attractive hip. Lot 19 is a big testicled bull that is ready to breed. He is backed by a Fabio daughter who has made her living raising big, powerful herd bulls just like this Rhino son.
This is a heck of a bull! He is short-backed and muscular with HUGE feet and legs that are incredibly sound. Again, he is a sib to Georgia's Champion Bred and Owned heifer and looks very similar to her but is STOUT! He is a true Fortune son with a big belly and a perfect chest floor. It is hard to find such a good chest floor in a Brangus bull. He is cobra necked and grabs your attention quickly. I believe he works for registered cows as well as exotic club calf type cows. We did go ahead and have this bull circumcised to tidy up his prepuce and get ahead of any problems. It looks fantastic and he has been tested and is good to go! Come see him - he is worth the fuel money.
Now this is what a good heifer bull should look like. This is the kind of LBW bull that sacrifices nothing in terms of quality. This guy looks like a bred heifer most of the time with a juicy butt and lots of lower dimension. When he picks his head up you would swear he could reach the heavens. He comes out of a Raven daughter we call Nancy. Nancy herself was no stranger to the backdrop and several of her heifers have ended up there as well. His sire is Belle's Brother - a full sib to Belle of the Ball, that has been a top sire for us for years. Lot 21 has been fat and sassy from day 1 and should be a hard-working bull that maintains himself well. He is a looker! Thanks for taking the time to check out our offering!

We don't have a picture of Rooster but his heifer calves seem to speak for themselves. They are all so sound and functional with a good look. If you have some cattle that need a shot of soundness, foot size and overall quality - Rooster is a great choice. We won't sell much of this semen.
We have a limited amount of semen so won't have much to sell in the near future. We were so happy with the couple of calves (mostly bulls) that he had this season that we tripled his work load and look forward to many more next year. Calves are consistently high quality. He makes them thick, square, moderate, and good looking.
