Kiendl has a passion for dance and is excited to be participating in the eighth annual Dancing Stars of Greenwich event. She has a suggestion for everyone: "The rule is you have to dance a little bit in the morning before you leave the house because it changes the way you walk out in the world."
Kiendl proudly calls New York City home and enjoys spending time with her eight little grandchildren!
Kiendl is paired with Fred Astaire Professional Plamen Danailov
Plamen Danailov brings a lifetime of world-class dance experience to his role as Owner and Dance Director of the Fred Astaire Dance Studio on New York's East Side. Originally from Bulgaria, Plamen built an extraordinary competitive career, earning the title of five-time undefeated Bulgarian Latin and Standard Champion as an amateur.
In 2000, Plamen relocated to New York and joined Fred Astaire as a professional, partnering with Tina Gerova. Together, the pair went on to claim five Bulgarian Professional Latin American Championship titles, reach the finals of the British Open Rising Star competition, and earn multiple appearances as finalists at the World and European Latin American Show Dance championships.
Today, Plamen is best known for his work in the Pro-Am division, where his talent for teaching, choreography, and innovation shines through the achievements of his students - many of whom have gone on to become U.S. Champions and U.S. finalists in their own right.
