Artist Bio:
Karl Heitman (b.1954) was born in Houston Texas where he received a Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Houston in 1979. Karl moved to Chicago in 1985 and established HEITMAN ARCHITECTS in 1993. For over 30 years, his firm has been nationally recognized with numerous awards for design and sustainability, including the CoreNet Global Sustainability Leadership Award for the "Method Soap" Factory in Chicago's Pullman District.
Karl has always had a passion for art, architecture, and photography. He lives in Chicago's inner city - 'The Loop'; and sees ever[changing views of the city as light, shapes, grids, and reflected fragments of the city fabric come to life.
