Christopher (Chris) Arnold is a Chicago-based artist and illustrator whose work explores the enduring relationship between nature and human culture. Through painting and drawing, he creates visual narratives that give presence to plants, animals, landscapes, and the ecosystems they inhabit while revealing how deeply their stories are intertwined with our own. Arnold holds a BFA in Studio Art from the University of Missouri and an MFA in Illustration from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD). His work is held in private, corporate, and institutional collections and has been exhibited throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, including recent fairs in the Hamptons and during Art Basel Week in Miami. His work has also been featured by House Beautiful, the Travel Channel, and international art publications. Collaborations with the Ron Finley Project and an artist residency with the U.S. National Park Service further reflects a practice rooted in conservation, environmental awareness, and the belief that art can foster a deeper connection between people and the living world.
