Meet Fae, my almost 12-year-old cattle dog mix. I adopted her from Denver Animal Shelter in 2020, and she's been my little shadow ever since.
In 2024, Fae became partially paralyzed from the waist down. It was one of the scariest things we've been through, but with a lot of patience, management, and determination, she made an incredible comeback. Today she's back to hiking up to 2 miles and is always excited to get outside, strut her stuff and show everyone what she can do.
I work at HSSPV, and every day I see animals who just need someone to believe in them. Fae reminds me why that matters so much. Every animal deserves the chance to heal, be loved, and find a family of their own.
