Four years ago, I lost my soul dog, Gemini, far too young. Losing her changed my life forever and ultimately led me to work in animal welfare, where I now get to help homeless pets find the loving families they deserve.
Eight years ago, I adopted Calypso from the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley. She's now 8½ years old and has been my constant reminder of just how life changing adoption can be for both the animals and the humans. We both still miss her sister, Gemini, every single day.
That's why I created Gemini's Legacy, Calypso's Mission. This fundraiser honors the dog who inspired my journey while celebrating the one who continues to walk beside me. Every donation helps provide food, medical care, enrichment, and second chances for animals waiting for a family of their own.
