Experience the warmth, abundance and unforgettable flavors of Lebanon without leaving home. Judy Mansour will prepare an extraordinary, scratch-made 10-course Lebanese dinner for eight, customized from the selections below and served in the winning bidder's home.
The experience begins with an abundant mezze and continues through traditional salads, stuffed specialties, fish, meat, vegetables, freshly prepared breads and savory pastries. The evening concludes with homemade baklava, Turkish coffee and arak.
MENU
Mezze
Olives, cheeses, hummus, muhammara roasted-red-pepper spread, baba ghanoush, foul mudammas and homemade bread.
Salad - Choose One
Tabbouleh, fattoush or cucumber-yogurt salad with fresh mint and parsley.
Stuffed Specialty - Choose One
Stuffed grape leaves with basmati rice, seasoned lamb and spices; or sautéed eggplant layered with ground lamb and beef, onions, pine nuts and savory tomato sauce.
Fish
Samak bit taratour: grilled salmon or tuna with caramelized onions, sesame-lemon dressing and toasted pine nuts.
Meat - Choose One
Oven-baked kibbeh with lamb, beef, bulgur, onions, spices and pine nuts; or grilled shish kafta served with minted yogurt.
Vegetable - Choose One
Carrots with butter, honey and orange blossom; zucchini sautéed with thyme and butter; or green beans with onion, garlic, olive oil and lemon.
Bread - Choose Two
Pita, thin tannour flatbread or za'atar flatbread with sesame, sumac, thyme and olive oil.
Fatayer - Choose One
Savory pastry filled with spinach, lamb, or cheese and olives.
Dessert
Homemade baklava filled with walnuts or cheese and finished with orange-blossom or rosewater syrup.
Beverages
Turkish coffee and traditional arak.
