The artist has a visual impairment and created this piece from expressive strokes of acrylic paint and enjoys filling his artwork with remarkable color, details, and movement. Circle Flowers is made with layers of bright-colored tissue paper. The artist used the paper to create this piece displaying a variety of flowers on stems. These flowers reminded the artist of nature and gardens that grow during spring and summer. Ribbons & Circles is colorful mixed-media collage created with a variety of paper, playful ribbons, and bold shapes. At the center of the composition, a bright yellow piece of paper represents the warmth and energy of the sunshine, bringing a cheerful focal point to the artwork. The artiest enjoyed choosing the combination of colors, textures, and overlapping materials to create a lively and joyful sense of movement. Wild Thing is an abstract piece created by rolling marbles through different colors of paint across a piece of paper inside a box. As the marbles moved around, they created colorful lines, paths, and patterns on the paper. The different pathways show how the marbles moved and changed direction. The paint creates texture and movement, making the artwork feel wild, playful, and full of energy.
