Highland Cow Felted Painting

This beautiful framed wet and needle felted wool painting of a Highland Cow in Scotland was created by WMQFA workshop teacher and noted artist Justine Heinrichs. It is titled "Highland Dreaming." Wet felting uses wool roving and silks, soap and water, and agitation. Needle felting uses barbed needles to create shapes and color to a wool background. The piece measures approximately 13 1/4 x 14 1/2 inches.

Framed Cross Stitch (2)

Two small town cross stitch street scenes from yesteryear. "Peppercriccket Antiques" is 13 x 23 inches and inspired by Charles Wysocki designs. The second is a scene of a mill and houses and measures 12 x 24 inches. Both are double-matted and custom framed. This auction item must be picked up at the museum.

Egret Quilted Fabric Painting

The great white egret, a type of heron, is beautifully setoff against a background evoking clouds and sun. The fabric choices of the maker lead the viewer to think the bird is wading in the marsh. The piece measures 24 x 32 inches and is in a very nice frame ready to be hung and enjoyed. This item must be picked up at the museum.

Kuna Rainforest Bird Molas (2)

These reverse applique and embroidered pictures were created by the Kuna people. One picture depicts green parrots and tropical flowers and measures 18 x 21 inches. The other depicts a parrot and a toucan and measures 17 x 24 inches. The molas were purchased in the San Blas Islands, Panama in the 1990s. They are professionally framed. These items must be picked up at the museum.
