Although Hogan grew up in Texas, her artistic roots run deep on Cape Cod through her great-aunt, Elizabeth Howland Caliga, one of the founding members of the Provincetown Printers. She also studied with artists Robert Douglas Hunter and Ferol Warthen in Provincetown. Inspired by that legacy, Hogan embraced representational scenes filled with warmth and vivid color, believing art should celebrate the joy found in everyday life.

This impression is especially significant as an Artist's Proof (AP), a rare print retained by the artist during the creative process before the principal edition was completed.
