Details:
Join the Nuthatch and K4 Chickadee teachers for an early evening exploration of the Lake Michigan shoreline, followed by s'mores and songs around the campfire! Molly will bring her ukulele, Lisa will bring her autoharp, and Lake Michigan will provide the beach treasures!
A peaceful and creative outdoor experience. We will explore the pond, create nature-inspired artwork, and enjoy a relaxed picnic together. With a small group and plenty of time to wander, create, and connect, this experience captures the heart of our nature-based curriculum. Families provide their child's picnic.
Join us to explore the diversity of life in our ponds! Scoop for macroinvertebrates, learn how to use the key to tell which creatures we've found, search for frogs and turtles make connections to other wildlife around the ponds, and share a popsicle snack among friends!
Your immediate family is invited to join us to make a special collaborative art project- no art skills required. You can choose either a driftwood mobile or a wrapped stick tapestry. We will either hike to Lake Michigan to collect driftwood or take your child's favorite trails around the property to find sticks, then head to an outdoor classroom to assemble them into a family project you can take home.
