Jaeger-LeCoultre omitted a seconds hand entirely so that no motion would waste power. At its heart, a golden torsion pendulum turns slowly beneath the dial, two rotations per minute, hypnotic to watch.
This example is presented in the classic gold-plated brass case with beveled glass panels on all four sides, a crisp white chapter ring with applied gold baton markers and Arabic numerals, and an open center revealing the movement at work. Signed LeCoultre on the dial. The seriel number indicates it hasnt had repair in 29 years however its believed to be from 1960. Sold as is and will likely need service to work properly but the wheel does move. Its stunning.

This Belfort Instrument Company microbarograph records atmospheric pressure continuously onto a rotating paper chart, driven by a spring-wound seven-day clock movement - no batteries, no power cord. Its dual opposing bellows system, temperature-compensated and linked to a fine pen arm, resolves pressure changes to within a tenth of a millibar. Instruments of this pattern served the National Weather Service, universities, observatories, and airports from the 1960s onward, and were prized for accuracy and durability alike.
Housed in the original hammertone gray steel case with beveled glass viewing panels and a chromed carrying handle, with the manufacturer's plate reading Catalog No. 5-800, U.S. Patent 2,997,879, Belfort Instrument Company, Baltimore, Maryland.

Bill Buckner played twenty-two major league seasons across four decades, collecting 2,715 career hits and winning the 1980 National League batting title as a Chicago Cub. He was, by any honest measure, one of the finest pure hitters of his generation - a man who showed up, played hurt, and kept swinging for two full decades.
This official Major League baseball was signed by Buckner on August 2, 2018, for participants and guests of Volunteers of America's Legends Golf Tournament at Sanctuary Golf Course in Sedalia, Colorado. It is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity signed by tournament coordinator Denise Robert.
Buckner passed away the following May, making this among the later signatures of a career spent generously giving them.
There's a fitting symmetry in offering it here: signed to support Volunteers of America, and now returning to do the same.

The convex plaque depicts the Virgin Mary in profile, her face lifted, wrapped in a veil of deep cobalt blue against a rich dark ground. Gold gilt accents trace the edge of the veil and the embroidered band at her shoulder. The luminous glass-like surface and depth of color are achieved only through the traditional Limoges method - powdered enamel applied in successive layers and fired at high heat, a technique demanding real mastery and unforgiving of error. Signed by the enamelist at the right.

A handsome piece of American engineering history. This traditional transit level pairs a polished brass telescope with a cast-iron frame in original dark japanned finish, mounted over a silvered horizontal circle graduated in degrees for angle measurement.
The telescope carries its spirit level vial above the barrel and tilts on a trunnion axis, with tangent screws for fine adjustment and a four-screw leveling head at the base.
Beautiful as a display object: the warm brass against the dark frame reads equally well on an architect's desk, a bookshelf, a mantel, or in a study.

Antique Family Reunion Photograph in Oval Convex Glass Frame, c. 1900 - With Original Identification Notes
A remarkable turn-of-the-century group portrait: some fifty family members gathered in a side yard, arranged in rows from the eldest seated in front to small children on the grass, all in their Sunday best beneath the summer trees. The photograph is delicately hand-tinted in soft greens and preserved beneath its original convex "bubble" glass in a dark-stained oval wood frame.
What sets this apart is the documentation. Tucked in an envelope affixed to the reverse are handwritten notes identifying the subjects by name and row - Light, Kay, McBride, McAdow, Corum, Gantz, Kerr, Maynard - along with the setting: taken about 1900 in the side yard at Fount Light's house near Freedom. A second handwritten letter, chatty and warm, describes a windstorm, a ball game, and neighbors dropping by until it turned out to be quite a party.
A rare thing in the antiques world: a photograph whose people still have their names.

Pyrat XO Reserve is a blend of aged pot-still rums drawn from distilleries across the Caribbean, with the base spirit produced in Barbados and each bottle hand-filled and hand-numbered on the island of Anguilla. The squat, cork-topped bottle is modeled on the vessels carried by rum runners in the 1800s. Expect an amber pour with layered caramel, honey, molasses, and a signature note of orange peel - best served neat or over ice with a twist of lemon.
It is housed in the original wooden lantern-style presentation case - glass-paned on all sides, with an antiqued brass carry handle and working latch.

A genuine piece of mid-century American football, in the heavyweight mercerized cotton known as durene that defined the era before synthetic mesh.
Cream-white with bold black tackle-twill numerals outlined in gold, sewn on the chest, back, and both sleeves. Long sleeves, crew neck, and the distinctive buttoned tail flap that fastened the jersey to the pants - a detail found only on jerseys of this vintage and the surest sign of its age. Original red script Wilson Sports Equipment label in the tail.
Size 46 Condition: overall age-toning and light staining, small tear to the "6" numeral, wear consistent with use. No team identification. Sold as-is.

Rare Vintage Martin "Automatic" Fishing Reel.Martin's spring-loaded automatics were a fixture of American trout fishing for half a century: press the lever and the line retrieves itself. Nicely worn, with the patina of real river days.
At its center is a Wright & McGill "Comet" fly rod, 8½ feet, two-piece, with its warm brown blank and signature red wraps. Wright & McGill has been building tackle in Denver since 1925.
Rounding out the outfit is a selection of hand-tied dry flies, attributed by the donor to Wally King, remembered locally as a Buena Vista fly-tying legend.

Each is a ceramic decanter finished to imitate tooled leather - crackle glaze, gold star studs around the border, embossed eagle at the shoulder - with a reproduction Norman Rockwell Post cover mounted on the front panel.

Here's the honest picture, and it's worth understanding before this goes in the catalog. Appraisal data puts the full six-decanter Rockwell set at $60-$125 empty, or $145-200 full. Individual sealed examples with intact tape seals and original boxes fetch $90-150. But empty, unboxed decanters are the low end of a low market.
Jim Beam decanters are one of the great cautionary tales in collecting. They were manufactured in enormous quantities in the 1960s-70s specifically as collectibles, clubs formed around them, prices ran up - and then the bottom fell out and never came back. Many people inherit boxes of these expecting real money. This particular series is among the more appealing ones, but it's still a decorative market, not an investment one.
You also have five of six, so it's an incomplete set.

Set into the front of each is a faithful reproduction of a classic Norman Rockwell Saturday Evening Post cover, including the sign painter of "Ye Pipe & Bowl" (1926), Benjamin Franklin at his desk marking the Sesqui-Centennial of the Declaration's signing (1926), the campaign-day bustle of "Elect Casey" (1958), and two further covers from the 1940s.
Displayed together, the five make a warm and genuinely handsome grouping - equally at home on a bar shelf, a bookcase, or a mantel, where they read as much like a row of leather books as like bottles.

Olympia by Tacoma OP-2 Parlor Acoustic Guitar - 3/4 Size, with Gig Bag and Strap
A charming small-body acoustic from the Pacific Northwest lineage.
Olympia was the import line of Tacoma Guitars, the respected Washington State builder, with designs drawn directly from Tacoma's American-made acoustics and setup work handled in the U.S. The line has long been discontinued, which makes surviving examples increasingly worth seeking out.
This is the OP-2, a 3/4-size parlor guitar: natural satin finish over a spruce top, rosewood fretboard with 18 frets and dot inlays, contoured rosewood bridge, chrome tuners, and the Olympia mountain logo on the headstock and interior label.
The parlor body is where it earns its keep. Small, light, and comfortable - right for a young player just starting out, for anyone who finds a dreadnought unwieldy, or as the guitar that lives on the couch and gets picked up without ceremony. It travels well, too.
Comes with a padded gig bag and a black-and-flame guitar strap.
