Elect George Caraballo!
I'm George Caraballo, Associate Director of Retail Branches and Community Engagement at DuPage Credit Union. My commitment to our community is rooted in over 30 years of service with Junior Achievement (JA)-as a Board Member, recruiter, and volunteer. My journey began as a Chicago Public Schools student, where I benefited from JA programs firsthand. Today, I am dedicated to paying that experience forward to the next generation.
By living the JA values of Belief, Seek Out, Nurture, Approach, Teach and Advocate, I've worked to bring financial literacy to every corner of our community, including:
- Students (K-12): Teaching in public and Catholic schools across Chicago and the western suburbs.
- Workforce Development: Empowering returning citizens at Chicagoland Prison Outreach (CPO) with financial tools to match their professional welding training.
- Vulnerable Populations: Partnering with the Pacific Garden Mission to support homeless adults and veterans and providing free tax education assistance for low-income families.
- Educational Leadership: Collaborating with Lombard District 44 and the DuPage Regional Office of Education to prioritize financial education in the classroom and leading financial literacy lessons at Manor Hill Elementary to 3rd, 4th and 5th graders.
- Neurodiversity Advocacy: Networking JA with Little Friends in Warrenville to help young adults with autism gain the financial independence they need to thrive by utilizing JA Financial Literacy assets.
As your mayor, my mission remains the same: to advocate for financial literacy wherever it can improve quality of life. I ask for your vote to help me build a kinder, more resilient, and more financially empowered community.
Thank you for your consideration. With appreciation and gratitude.
Vote for George!
