One September day, we rescued TEN lives. Mom, her eight beautiful babies....and her best friend. We received a call from some workers who spotted puppies in the backyard of an abandoned house. They stayed and helped us search and rescue, so we made sure we had ALL of the babies (Pulitzer, People's Choice, Oscars, Nobel Peace, Michelin Star, Booker, Abel Prize, and Blue Ribbon). We only had one trap with us because we weren't expecting two adults. Mom (Award) and her best friend (Prize) were inseparable. We wouldn't leave her friend behind, so we had to transfer Mom to the Jeep so we could re-use the trap. We worried that if we drove away to get another trap, her friend would panic. The girls seemed to understand what we needed them to do. They were both very brave and went into the trap.
We saw right away that Prize would bury her head in Award's fur. She cuddled with her while she nursed her babies and even helped take care of the puppies. When separated, they shut down. We knew they were a bonded pair, and we were going to have to work really hard to find the perfect home for both of them. They loved each other so much, and they gained confidence with all of the new experiences they had together.
After putting out a few pleas, the most perfect family stepped forward and adopted BOTH Prize and Award! The babies had all found their forever homes, and we were so happy to be able to keep the girls together.

Artwork will NOT be available to pick up before this (unless you are notified otherwise via email). If you are not local to the St. Louis Area, shipping is available for this item upon request (for an additional cost which will be calculated for each piece individually). All winning bidders will receive an email with more information once the auction has closed.
