Spend three full days embedded with the founders (Staples '16) of a NYC tech start-up, gaining a firsthand look at how a fast-growing business operates day-to-day. This is an observational and educational experience - not formal employment or a paid internship.
CrowdVolt is a team 15+ people building in the live events technology space. We started 2 years ago, are now processing millions in transaction volumes, and have raised >$2.5 million from top-tier investors like Y Combinator and angels including the co-founders of Youtube and Kickstarter.
You'll get direct exposure to the founders and core team, and participate in real workflows across engineering, product, operations, and business strategy. There will be opportunities to assist with small, real-world tasks or projects (optional, based on interest and experience). Additionally, open Q&A and mentorship-style conversations about startups, careers, and building companies will be included. There will be flexible scheduling during May, June, or July 2026, though specific dates will be coordinated directly with the winning bidder based on mutual availability.

Max Hammer (CEO) is a Penn grad with experience in investment banking, legal and politics (most recently at UBS). Josh Karol (CTO) is an Emory grad and software developer with 10+ years experience working in big tech and hedge funds (most recently at Millennium).
