The GO Pantry Green Team looks forward to welcoming you to our 4th Annual PARTY FOR A PURPOSE! We've put together the following FAQs to help you prepare for this year's festivities.
Q: What should I wear?
A: We're not the tuxedo and ball gown crowd, so you can leave those in your closet. Summer cocktail party attire is recommended, but please feel free to wear whatever feels most comfortable to you for an event of this nature. And if your outfit happens to include a touch of "GO Pantry Green," even better!
Q: Remind me again of the location?
A: This year's event kicks off at 6:30PM in the Turfway Park Racing & Gaming Event Center in Florence, KY. There will be signage and volunteers to guide you from the parking lot.
Q: What's the parking situation?
A: Event guests are asked to park in the side parking lot of the casino complex; it's the closest to the event center. If you're looking at the casino, that particular parking lot is on the right. We'll also have volunteers standing outside with GO Pantry signs to help direct you. You are also welcome to valet park - this is complimentary and accessible by pulling up to the main casino entrance.
Q: What type of food will be served?
A: The culinary team at Turfway Park has an incredible array of dinner and dessert stations planned. We've made sure each station includes options for vegetarians, vegans, and gluten-free guests. If you're not sure what you can eat for your specific dietary needs, the catering staff will be happy to help guide you.
Q: What about drinks?
A: Your event ticket comes with 2 drink tickets that can be redeemed for beer, wine, and liquor. Additional alcoholic beverages can then be purchased. Iced tea, soda, water, and coffee are complimentary.
Q: Did you send me my tickets?
A: We check in guests digitally, so your name is your ticket! When you arrive, one of our staff will check you in via an iPad. If your guest(s) for the evening has changed and you haven't yet reassigned their ticket in the event portal, please notify us at events@gopantry.org so we can make the adjustment ahead of check-in. Please note: Our ability to update names on your behalf will be limited on event day due to other obligations.
Q: Is this a cashless event?
A: For the most part, yes. You will need to have a credit card on file in order to buy raffle tickets or bid on auction packages. If you WIN an auction package, you will have the option to pay for it with cash or check if you prefer that to credit card. Donations pledged to GO Pantry during the Fund a Need portion of the evening can be made by credit card, check, or cash; donations paid by cash or check can be given to any GO Pantry employee or brought to the auction checkout station.
Q: Will there be music?
A: Of course! DJ Dave from Wild Mountain Entertainment will be playing some fantastic music to keep you dancing throughout the evening.
Q: Is there assigned seating?
A: Since this isn't a seated dinner, we don't have assigned seating other than reserved tables for our Presenting and Principal sponsors, as well as our award recipients. Any table with an "Open Seating" sign on it is fair game for you to claim seats!
Q: Will there be a presentation?
A: Yes! We have a brief presentation planned for 8PM. You'll hear from GO Pantry co-founders Beth McIntire and Laura Dumancic, and we'll also be recognizing our 2026 Volunteer of the Year and 2026 Community Partners of the Year.
Q: What else is there to do at the event?
A: What's a party without games? You can play Ring the Bottle 🍾 and Chippo ⛳ to win fun prizes or enter Split the Pot for a chance to win money! 💰 We also have a great silent auction, a bourbon raffle, and a complimentary 360-degree photo booth 📸 so you can have a memento of the evening.
Q: What if I have a question you didn't answer?
A: Feel free to email events@gopantry.org and we will do our best to respond in a timely manner. As we get closer to the big day, please keep in mind that we'll be in the midst of putting the final touches on our event, so we cannot guarantee a quick response.
